These are grid cut jigsaws with interesting piece shapes.

TDC Games was founded in 1984 and specialise in the manufacture of jigsaw puzzles and board games. The business employs some strange and zany techniques in order to offer their customers distinctly different jigsaw puzzles.

Some of the products they sell include the following concepts:

• Extra small jigsaw puzzles – these puzzles are no bigger than 4 x 6 inches but contain 234 puzzle pieces. They’re so small that the manufacturers find it necessary to include a pair of tweezers in every box!

• Double sided, rotated jigsaw puzzles – even the description is confusing. The puzzles are double sided with the same image on both sides however the image is turned 180 degrees. To make matters even more complicated the pieces are identically cut. All of which makes it extremely challenging because you are never sure which side of the puzzle you are working on.
• Two in one mystery puzzles – each box contains a mystery with two 500 piece puzzles. However both of the puzzles are mixed into a single bag.
• Environmentally friendly puzzles – TDC Games sells a range of earth friendly puzzles, as well as a range of puzzles which actually grow wild flowers when you plant the pieces!

It’s clear that the business has many different ideas that offer some genuine variety and they are helping to push the boundaries of the jigsaw puzzle world. Who knows in a few years time we might all be planting our jigsaws after we have completed them!
