Pomegranate is an American publishing house that established itself in the 1960’s at the time of the explosion in psychedelic art. This exciting theme is still reflected in a number of the images it uses today.

Pomegranate has a reputation for printing of the highest quality and inevitably this gives it a head start when it comes to producing jigsaw puzzles. If you are intending to handle 1,000 pieces (possibly many times) then it’s good to know that the finished product is going to look the part.

The main strength of the company is its sales to retailers and distributors in the United States but consumers can also buy directly from their website. Unusually they elect to list their products by “Subject Categories” and you have to visit each one of these in turn to see whether or not the category contains jigsaw puzzles. It’s worth the effort though because there are some lovely images buried within the site.

Take a look particularly at their Metaphysics collection which contains some enchanting 1,000 piece images. The 300 piece puzzles listed under “Pomegranate Kids” are also worthy of attention.
