According to Piatnik… “People, who don’t play, take themselves too seriously” and who amongst us can disagree with that?

The company is based in Austria and its name is synonymous with playing cards of which they make 25 million every year. Piatnik also make a million board games each year and a million jigsaw puzzles.

Given that the company has been in existence since 1824 you can rely on them maintaining very high standards. Two-hundred years is a very long time. To stay in business that long, Piatnik must be doing something right.

The puzzle range is varied and contains “conventional” themes as well as some extremely unusual products. On the conventional side you have their “Art” range including works by Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh. For something strikingly colorful, their “Big Frogs” and “Salamanders” take some beating, for something difficult you will not surpass their “Wine Corks”, for unusual they have a “Musical Notes” puzzle and for something contemporary take a look at their metallic range.
