Jigboard 1000 – Puzzle Board for 1000 Pieces

At one time this size of board fitted nearly all the 1000 piece puzzles from the major manufacturers around the world. The board still does fit the puzzles from all the European manufacturers (Falcon, Jumbo, Ravensburger etc.) but a trend has developed for American manufacturers to make their puzzles larger than our board. Most notable amongst these puzzle makers are Springbok, SunsOut and White Mountain. If you are intending to make puzzles from these manufacturers then you will need our 1500 size board.

The interior dimensions of this particular board are 29.5 inches x 20.5 inches and it weighs just under 6lbs. Most people find this size is convenient to move around and one person can usually easily carry it through doorways.

People often ask us whether they should buy a Jigboard or a Jigsort and we tell them that this depends on whether or not they need to pack away a part completed puzzle. If you are sure that you have the space in your home to have a puzzle laid out flat on a board until it has been completed then a Jigboard is probably the right choice. On the other hand if you might need to pack a puzzle away and store it vertically in a cupboard or spare room then your best bet is a Jigsort.

The Jigboard 1000 makes an ideal companion for our puzzle tables. Once the table is pulled up over the arms of a chair and angled to a comfortable degree it is quite easy for most people to reach the top corners of the board.
